Went to Princeton for undergrad, as did brother Jeff, and we both played varsity baseball there. Then got my Masters in Management at Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern. Spent most of my career in "corporate America", starting at the Procter & Gamble Company. Moved to the Coca-Cola Company where I spent time as the head of marketing for Coke's North American fountain business, a few years in consulting with the Monitor Group in Cambridge, MA. Then head of consumer insights and strategy, and head of corporate strategy for Brown-Forman Corporation (maker of Jack Daniel's, Southern Comfort, Woodford Reserve, and other wine and spirits brands). Finished my career as Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer at Altria Group. Was married for almost 32 years, but divorced 12 years ago (long story). Now happily focused on my black Lab Magic, my sons and daughters-in-law, and my two grandkids, Danny (4) and Sophie (2).
